Read-a-thon: Books

With just a week to go, the excitement for the event is on an exponential rise. This is even more special, since it is the first time I will be participating in a book challenge.

The tentative plan is to complete the books that I currently am going through, and shuffle between some others. I wish to finish with Shantaram Liars Poker “Shantaram” and”Liar’s Poker”. I know “Liar’s Poker” can get a bit taxing, and thus the filler list will be composed of a mix of different genres. I plan to go with tuesdays-with-morrie Helen KellerChances of a Lifetime “Tuesdays with Morrie”, “The story of my life: Hellen Keller” and “Chances of a lifetime”.  The idea is to keep a heavy base, with light strumming and a short lead :). I will like to include some light hearted stuff too considering the timings of the event in India (starts at 5.30 in the evening), but I am totally blank about the book(s) to go with. Any suggestions are highly welcome.

{update} I will be posting the content every couple of hours or so. Regular updates will serve a good break to freshen up and cheer others (Thanks to a dear friend of mine, I have the whole anthem ready with me..Give me R.. 😛 ). Apart from the gen info like the #pages read, the books and stuff, I plan to post my favorite quotes/lines as well. In case I have an attention span decent enough to read some books completely, I will be posting the reviews too.

I am pretty sure about completing Shantaram and Tuesdays with Morrie. 3 books should be achievable. Completing 4+ books is dream stretched too far.

All the best for the read-a-thon! Your book list is interesting! ‘Shantaram’ has beautiful prose and is interesting and ‘Liar’s Poker’ is wonderful too! I loved ‘Tuesdays with Morrie’ when I read it!
